We have decided it is time to part with âTarkaâ our Macgregor 26M. We have had her since 2007 in the Blackwater estuary and have enjoyed many good sails in the area but itâs time to change. Therefore we are offering her for sale with a full working cruising inventory and in good ready to sail condition including the Lizard galvanised two axle trailer she came with which has done very little mileage and is in good condition.
The trailer has only ever been used to hold her when out of the water and has never been water immersed. It is still on the original tyres which have done very little mileage but will need to be replaced due to their age if long mileage is intended.
The boat was built in 2004 and sold from the London Boat Show in 2005 and first launched later that year. We are the second owner and have owned her since 2007.
The underwater hull was epoxy coated in 2008 and the old antifouling replaced with Coppercoat epoxy bonded copper antifouling in 2014. The blue hull will be machine polished in the near future so requires minimum maintenance.
The electronics include a Raymarine VHF radio with DSC, linked to a Raymarine GPS as well as a separate cockpit mounted Raymarine Dragonfly Pro5 GPS/ plotter with Navionics UK charts. There is a bulk head cockpit mounted steering compass and fish finder /depth meter.
The sails are in good condition and were new replaced in 2014 with better quality sails than the original supplied sails. The original mainsail is included but not the original jib as it perished.
The engine (50HP Yamaha) is in good running condition and had the water pump impeller replaced in 2019 along with an overhaul and service of the carburettors and inlet manifold seals.
The twin 12v 90Ah leisure batteries were replaced with in 2019 and are fitted with a microcontroller charge regulator and solar panel charger to maintain charge. The rest of the equipment is in good order and ready for cruising use. There is a cassette toilet fitted but it has never been used.
