Available and priced for quick sale we have a Dufour Sailing yacht (unsure of exact model but in the region of 29-31 ft). This example from the trusted Dufour brand has been sat in a boatyard in Southampton for many years and needs to go due to expanding operations.
This sailing yacht requires work and would make a great project for the right person who wants to invest the time and money to get this yacht back on the water. The yacht is currently sat in a 10 tonne Roodberg cradle as seen in the pictures which we will allow to leave and include with the sale making the asking price a bargain.
The yacht is fitted with a Yanmar 2GM20 16hp twin cylinder sea cooled diesel inboard and is complete with a few electronics such as a Garmin GPS128 and Lowrance X29.
The yacht can be viewed by appointment only in Southampton and please read the following points carefully before viewing and any completion of Sale.
-The size and model of the yacht is unknown it measures around 29-31" approx
-The yacht has been sat in its Roodberg cradle on the hard in a Southampton Boatyard for many continuous years without attention. With that said, no systems of any kind have been checked nor can be guaranteed to be working or complete including all electronics , main engine etc.
-The yacht is being sold as a project and comes with no warranty or guarantees of any kind. Viewing by appointment is strongly advised before purchase as the boat is sold as seen.
-Being a project the purchaser is responsible to ensure or instruct professional contractors to complete work and ensure that the vessel is fit and safe for sea.
- Having sat unmoved in its Roodberg cradle for many years before being adjusted, the yacht has been noted that pressure from the pads has caused the hull to concave where the pads sat. It is the responsibility of the new owner to instruct a competent GRP specialist/company to rectify to ensure the yacht is fit for sea.
-Upon purchase there are a number of options available to the new owner 1) The Yacht can remain at the Southampton Boatyard (ongoing monthly storage fees apply) 2) The yacht can be loaded onto proffesional transport for land departure organised and funded by the new owner (lifting fees apply) 3) Once work is completed and the project yacht is safe for sea, the yacht can be launched for Sea departure (lift fees apply) 4) depending on availability the yacht may be able to remain in the marina on a pontoon berth (once declared fit for launch and ongoing monthly marina fees will apply)
-In a couple of areas under the entrance hatch it appears water ingress has caused a patch of the floor to fail as per pictures.
-The yacht has not been checked over for any items present or missing or for further condition of any area of the yacht and so viewing is recommended to ensure that you are happy with taking on the ownership of this project.
