Understandable, as the maverick designer and businessman (along with his wife Vibeke at his side) earned his reputation for the development of a new breed of Scandinavian dual-console boats that dominated the industry—and the seas—for decades.
Now, more than 50 years later, the indomitable spirit of Drangsholt and his iconic Draco brand live on. With new collaborations comes our range of meticulously designed European day cruisers that echo the ethos of the Draco originals—yet made to navigate today’s modern times.
The headquarters of firma Hochmuth Bootsbau AG in Stansstad, Switzerland. Hochmuth, established in 1960 was one of the first Draco dealers in the world. The partnership they made with Draco in the 1970s paved the way for the modern philosophy of boat dealerships. All told, Hochmuth Bootsbau AG has delivered more than 5,000 new Draco boats in Switzerland-- and continues to work with Draco’s exclusive line of dual-console boats today.
