The American company SeaRay was founded in 1959. The founder of the company was Connie Ray and his friends, the first owners were friends and neighbors, and the production was located in an ordinary garage in Detroit. Together with the designer Harley Earl, the production of the first fiberglass boats began, after three years serial production was launched, and in 1969 the model range was already represented by 10 boats. Since 1986 the company has been part of the Brunswick Boat Group.
Fully automated production is located at three factories in the United States and two in Brazil and Poland. For testing boats, full-size mock-ups are used, weather conditions are simulated, continuous six-week water tests are carried out, components are checked in a chemical laboratory. The materials are highly corrosion resistant and require little maintenance. Multi-award winning manufacturing quality, safety certified by NMMA using ABYC standards. SeaRay provides a five-year warranty on new sports boats and a three-year warranty on Sundancer, SLX 400 and SLX 400. The warranty is transferable to subsequent owners.
Housings provide fast sliding and specified characteristics, stringers - strength and durability, solid floors connected to water drain pipes prevent corrosion. The vinyl finish of the lockers keeps things dry, the waxed gelcoat in the engine compartments does not let water through, the rubber seal of the hatches reduces noise levels.
The SeaRay lineup is represented by 4 lines, boats from 7 to 13 meters in length: Sport Boats, Sport Cruiser, Sport Yachts and Yachts. Designed with a focus on the American and European markets - in the US they value open space, in Europe they want privacy and closed cabins. In 2019, the Sundancer 320 Coupe is introduced with two outboard motors, in 2020 - with stationary motors. The Sun Sport 230 Outboard was named Motorboat of the Year at the Paris Boat Show in January 2020. The owner can customize their boat by choosing a color, powerplant, accessories and more.
