De Vries Lentsch Yachts B.V. has its origin in 1878 when De Vries Lentsch started as builder and designer of wooden rowing boats for the port of Amsterdam.
The yard was situated at the North of Amsterdam and constructed an enormous number of life boats, particularly after the disaster of the Titanic, and started with the construction and sale of sailing yachts and motorboats which gained a worldwide reputation.
After the second world war the yard participated in the Feadship organisation and produced a series of high class motor yachts in the 1950's. In 1960 the design department of the yard split off marking the start of De Vries Lentsch Yacht Designers & Naval Architects. Since then over a thousand designs have been produced. All the projects have a recognizable De Vries Lentsch style!
