Tax Free World Exhibition & Conference 2020

Cannes, France
27 Sep - 2 Oct 2020

Making its return for the 36th edition, the Tax Free World Exhibition & Conference (TFWA) is taking over Cannes for another exciting and focused trade event.

Following on from a successful 2019 edition with an increased visitor count of 7%, TFWA is once again returning to the glistening coastline of one of the most highly sought after destinations along the French Riviera.

TFWA also goes by the name Duty Free and Travel Retail Global Summit, and the event will see key players from numerous sectors come together to exhibit their products, browse the stands and share insight. There will also be a busy schedule of seminars and knowledge panels on the cards for participants to enjoy.

TFWA President Alain Maingreaud stated during last year's event that the future dates being set in place by the organising committee, after agreeing with the Palais des Festivals that the established annual event can stay in Cannes over an extended time.

This means that once again the scenic Vieux Port will act as the backdrop to the annual festivities, presenting a perfect opportunity to undertake a corporate yacht charter. The luxury yachts lined up along the harbour act as the ultimate setting for networking, hosting business events and cocktail soirees, all while promoting the profile of a brand or company.

Interesting attractions

Covering an exhibition space of over 23,000 square metres, the 2020 edition of TFWA is expecting over 500 exhibitors who will showcase premium quality brands and offer ample opportunities to meet other industry professionals and influencers.

Alongside the many globally recognised names, there's a host of other dedicated activities such as active forums and conferences designed to educate and inform visitors to the event.

Various topics are covered by panellists at the show, with a prominant feature of 2019's edition being a conference held by the Rt. Hon. Tony Blair, UK Primeminister 1997 - 2007. Other notable figures and leading industry experts are scheduled to speak at this year's event along with limited question and answer sessions.

Making its come back to TFWA is the Innovation Lab. Recently taking over from the previous attraction Digital Village, the Innovation Lab proved a popular exhibition in 2019 and offers useful insights into what the industry could look like in the future.

Social mingling

Running alongside the six day event the social calendar will keep you busy with plenty of opportunities to mingle and make new contacts within the industry.

Opening ceremonies are due to be held in style once again as visitors are invited to the Opening Cocktail, which last year hosted more than 2,000 attendees. There's also Le Premium Evening which allows you to dine in style with fine food and drink. The evening continues with up to date DJ sets and live music to keep you dancing until the early hours.
