Four Winns

Four Winns

The history of the world-famous Four Winns shipyard begins in the small town of Cadillac, in northern Michigan. The company originally operated under the Safe-T-Mate Boats brand back in 1962 and built small fishing boats and also worked as a subcontractor for other yacht manufacturers. But in 1975 the company was taken over by the Wynn family (father and three sons), immediately after which it was renamed Four Winns. As well as more than 70 years ago, all of the company's main production facilities are invariably located in the city of Cadillac.

In 1978, there was a severe fire at the enterprise, which almost bankrupted the company, destroying more than $ 2 million worth of equipment, but due to the fact that Four Winns gave many jobs to such a small town, a local city bank decided to give a large loan for restoration of the enterprise. Today, the same plant in the city of Cadillac is capable of producing more than 9,000 ships per year. During the entire existence of the shipyard, more than 120 thousand yachts have been produced, a large number of which have received awards at major festivals and international yacht exhibitions. In 1987, the OMC Boat Group acquired Four Winns. By that time, she owned ten other companies. Three of the four members of the Wynn family left the company, but the middle brother, John Wynn, remained in charge of the company and other shipyards for seven years. And in 2001, the company was acquired by large shipbuilding corporation Genmar, which still owns the Four Winns shipyard.

Today the American shipbuilding company Four Winns, which produces serial compact high-speed yachts for water sports and recreation, is one of the largest in the world. The company's models are distinguished by increased driving characteristics and improved maneuverability, which is achieved thanks to carefully thought out hydrodynamics of the hull. To stabilize the boat at high speed, their patented Stable-Vee lines are used, as well as After Pods' hull extension pads, which reduce water resistance at high speed. Also worth noting is the lifetime warranty on the integrity of the case provided by the manufacturer.

The company's lineup consists of four lines of fiberglass vessels with outboard or stationary motors and hull lengths from 5 to 11 meters:

  • The Bow Riders series are fast bowriders designed for a more relaxed and restful rest, as evidenced by the comfortable aft seating and a spacious cabin.
  • The Cruisers range features enclosed cabins.
  • The boats of the Surf range are designed for those who love active recreation on the water.
  • The Deck Boats series are even more comfortable bowriders with a longer length.

The customer can change a large number of parameters in an already finished boat, choose from several configurations offered by the shipyard, or create a completely unique vessel on the company's website.
