Dufour 45E is a yacht "dual-purpose": it is well put together and well built racer/cruiser and, in our opinion, cruising and racing yacht. Having a typical Dufour spacious interior volumes, the boat has a very high performance. So, when the wind speed of the order of 9.5 knots, the boat safely reaches speeds of about 7 knots. Experienced sailors emphasize the exceptionally high quality of the steering. The layout of the cockpit allows the helmsman to control the boat without assistance.
