Ocean Leopard is a legend, being one of the best known boats in both the Solent and Antigua, having smashed and held the Round the Island Record for several years in the early 90’s and other numerous records including Line Honours in the Round Britain race in the 90s. The bilge of Ocean Leopard is divided into 7 sections - chain locker/forepeak, forward crew cabin, owner’s cabin, forward corridor, engine room, aft corridor, and aft lazarette.
All sections have 24v DC bilge pumps with swan necks discharging overboard. Except for the aft lazarette, all sections have an emergency 1 ½” central bilge drain line with a manifold in the engine room. This manifold is connected to a 220v AC self-priming impeller pump; this will also function as a fire pump and is connected to a separate strainer. The pressure line is led to a fire station next to the engine room door. The system was fitted in (2005).
Total capacity of 3600 litres (792 gallons) in 3 x separate tanks.

Ocean Leopard has both grey and black water tanks all with odor-proof Gebarit grey water lines and 2 x Rheinstrom GWH 24 PE greywater lift pumps.
Aft in the crew quarters, sink and shower, washing machine and galley are connected to a transfer tank aft the galley sink has the option of discharge overboard or to the grey water tank with a valve.
The greywater of the owner’s and guest showers and sinks are collected in a transfer tank forward.
Air conditioning condenser water is also collected into these transfer tanks.
Both transfer tanks discharge forward via a swan neck arrangement.
All heads discharge into the black water tanks. These tanks are located forward under the forward crew berths.

GRP balsa cored sandwich above the waterline and solid laminate GRP below 12mm to 30mm at the lowest point with synthetic cored transverse GRP frames and longitudinal stringers all hand-laminated.
GRP hardtop fitted by Norman Wright in Brisbane (2000); refurbished and re-awlgripped (2005).
In 2005, beneath the waterline, the old antifouling was removed and the epoxy treatment (2001) found to be sound. 3 coats of Awlgrip Hullguard were added and antifouling coatings made good.
The rudder was also dried and refurbished (2005).
