Description

English

The Moody 376 is a powerful offshore cruiser, easily handled by a couple with spacious accommodation.  This excellent example has been well maintained, with many upgrades and renewals since 2017 when purchased through Clarke & Carter and is offered for sale in really nice condition.  Additions include a hull Coppercoat, new suite of navigation equipment, new upholstery and much more. Owners fitted her out for extended cruising but his plans have had to change - turn key!

Accommodation

The layout offers up to seven berths with two double sleeping cabins separate from the main accommodation.  In the forecabin, V berth with infill and stowage under.  Opening hatch to foredeck.  Hanging locker.  En-suite heads compartment to starboard with marinre toilet, shower and washbasin.  There is also access to the forward heads from the saloon.  Hanging locker opposite. 

In the saloon, dinette to starboard with settee berth opposite.  Fxed table with drop leaves.  Opening hatch to deck.  Chart table to starboard with quarter berth behind and galley opposite.  Two burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven.  Twin stainless steel sinks with pressurised hot and cold water system.  250 litre freshwater capacity.  Refrigerator. 

Walk through to aft cabin, quarter berth outboard and engine access opposite.  In the aft cabin, good sized double berth to port with settee opposite.  En-suite heads compartment with marine toilet, shower and washbasin. 

Marine FM/LW/MW radio, 2019.  Eberspacher diesel fired hot air central heating. Grey fabric upholstery, professionally recovered in 2020 with new horizontal foam. TV linked to a Dell windows laptop. 

Mechanical Systems

Located in separate engine space below the cockpit, with good access, Nanni 4.220HE four cylinder 49hp diesel engine.  Electric start.  Freshwater cooled via heat exchanger.  Shaft drive via drip free stern gland to feathering propeller.  Single lever control.  204 litre fuel capacity.  6 knot cruising speed.  Maximum speed under power 7.5 knots.  Hours unrecorded. Serviced December 2019 professionally including oil/filter change, tappet check/adjust and fuel filter change.

Construction

Built in 1990 by Marine Projects for Moody Marketing to a design by Bill Dixon.  White GRP hull with style stripes.  Alloy toe rails.  White GRP superstructure with moulded non-slip to deck.  Centre self draining cockpit.  Sugar scoop transom with bathing platform.  Cast iron fin keel.  Skeg hung rudder.  Wheel steering. Hull professionally Coppercoated in July 2019. Seacocks inspected and one replaced in 2019.
