This 1975 Classic Moody Ketch 44 is a very rare beauty and it is very seldom that a yacht of this quality and vintage becomes available on the open market.
The yacht has been lovingly maintained by her current custodian and is being renovated to a high standard, she is now ready to be enjoyed by a new very lucky owner. The last 30 photos show the yacht post renovation with her new hull colours and interior upgrades.
This boat is a timeless beauty that stands out from the crowd even today, 45 years' after her birth. Built by Moody & Sons with Halmatic and designed by Laurent Gilles. Only 18 were built back in the 70s (Cougar is mentioned on page 166 of Moody Legacy book) and this is one of the very few that are still active and in a good shape.
This boat has a proven record of worldwide sailing as the previous owner has travelled to West Indies, UK and the whole Mediterranean Sea.
The boat is under renovation with new upholstery, a working autopilot and raymarine instruments (speed, depth, wind). It can accommodate up to 8 people and has a 2000 watts inverter, 2 WCs and a water heater. The kitchen is recently renovated and it has a cooker and a Waeco refrigerator. The engine is in a good condition, recently serviced, and the sails have no patches or scratches.
