This Hallberg Rassy 29 is probably the best presented example we have seen & is offered in lovely condition. She has clearly had a huge amount spent on her in recent years (over £40K since 2011) as well as regular maintenance. In 2016 she had complete new decks fitted which were finished in Flexiteek Synthetic Marine Teak Decking, a new Epoxy coating & new standing rigging. Being a Hallberg Rassy, as soon as you step onboard, this boat has the feeling of superior build quality & finish. With 5 berths, large dining area, galley & separate heads, it is a comfortable boat that also has the advantage of Eberspacher Cabin Heating & a Wind Vane self-steering system. In addition, this Rassy has 2 Chart Plotters, AIS, Raymarine Wind, Speed & Depth Gauges & VHF as well as an Auto Tiller. In January 2021 it has had its engine serviced as well as a new sail drive seal, drive shaft, anti-foul and anodes. This is a beautiful looking boat that for its size offers all the luxury & comfort expected of this great Swedish marque & is a boat that her new Owner will be very proud to own. First class workmanship in selected mahogany, handrubbed and treated to a silk smooth finish. The accommodation consists from forward of:


Locker for gas bottles, anchor chain below. The space is accessible from deck and drained overboard.



Fore cabin with two comfortable berths. Length of berths 2,0 m (6’7’). Filler between berths. Below the berths stowage, shelves at sides. A folding door separates the fore cabin from the toilet compartment.



The toilet cabin is fitted with a marine pump head and a wash basin with manually pumped cold water.On portside a good sized hanging locker. Teak floor over drained bilge. Folding door to main cabin



The main cabin is built with good sized sofa-berths to port and starboard side. The portside sofa is made as an L -sofa. Behind the swing-up backrests is stowage. The sofas are 2 m (6’7”) long. Book shelves and lockers behind the sofas. Large table with fold down wings and a bar in mid section. Inside of hull, above berths, is panelled with mahogany. The ceiling is lined with vinyl panels. Headroom in main cabin 1.80 m (5’11”).



Port aft in main cabin a L-shaped galley equipped with a 2 burner stove with oven in gimbals. Permanent tubing with shut off valve for liquid gas from stove to gas bottle. Cool Box, Double stainless steel sink with manually pumped cold water. Drawers, lockers for china etc.



On starboard side is a navigation table and the electric switch panel. The Nav table is an ingenious design that can be easily removed to reveal an additional pilot berth below. The upholstery in high quality furniture fabric with foam cushions. Floor boards made of holly & teak style planking. Curtains in all windows.

GRP colour: White. Marine blue decoration stripe above the rubbing strake. Underwater hull treated with epoxy, re-done in 2016. Primer and antifouling ( last done January 2020 )


Built in stringers in GRP. Ballast keel of iron, moulded in and protected in GRP.


Rudder blade in GRP, rudder main shaft Ø 35 mm bronze. Heavy cast rudder fittings in bronze.


Deck and superstructure:


GRP-sandwich construction 25 mm with polyvinyl cellular plastics as core material for strength and insulation. Ivory white.


Flexiteek Synthetic Marine Teak deck ( New 2016 )


Hull and deck completely joined by overlapping the GRP laminate. Bulwark formed in the deck and hull mouldings







This Hallberg Rassy 29 is a beautiful looking boat that has been well maintained by her current Owner& has had a significant sum spent on her in recent years ( at least £40K since 2011). Works have included complete new Decks, new Epoxy coating and replacement standing rigging as well as regular annual maintenance all of which are evidence of a knowledgeable owner. In addition, she comes with two chart plotters, AIS, autotiller, wind, speed & depth gauges & VHF with Cockpit Handset as well as base station. Her interior has a craftsmanlike solid finish in solid wood joinery and for a boat of her size, she offers comfortable a comfortable living area as well as the theoretical ability to sleep 7. She has a very small galley with Cool Box, oven & hob as well as an ingenious Pilot Berth that doubles up as a large Chart Table. Ondeck is where this boat really stands out. With her beautiful new Flexiteek decks that have been professionally laid, she looks almost as if she has just come out of the factory & being a Rassy, she is solidly built using well engineered fittings. She has a good sized deep cockpit with Tiller Steering that also has 2 generous lockers. Contained within & attached to her transom is a fabulous Wind Vane Self Steering System which is great for longer crossings or short handed sailing. In addition the main & Jib halyards & 2 reefing lines are led back to the cockpit & it has 2 Lewmar self tailing winches. This very solid, Swedish built yacht is certainly a very capable cruising boat.



With her excellent design & solid Swedish build quality, this Hallberg Rassy 29 offers everything you could need for fun sailing around coastal waters whilst still being very capable of cruising further afield and is easily manageable short handed. This is a very solid, well constructed boat that oozes the quality & craftsmanship that is expected of this Swedish Marque. She is currently lying Southampton & viewing is highly recommended.
