The much treasured Vindö 40 (just under 31 feet) was built in Sweden. This Volvo diesel engine swapped out for an electric drive. A GRP hull with mahogany superstructure and teak deck, with aluminum spars. An example of 1st class Swedish workmanship.

AccommodationThe cockpit has enough seating and is well thought-out, comfortable and self-draining with good lockers.Two berths up forward with an insert to make it into a double - good storage. The heads is aft of the forecabin on the port side with sea toilet and slide-out wash basin.Opposite the heads is a large closet for further stowage.The saloon will seat at least six, and adapts to a large double and single berth with good stowage under the berths and in side lockers - so plenty of storage for extended cruising.The galley is spacious with everything handy, even in bad weather. Two-burner Origo cooker, salt-water pump, and a cool box.The navigation station is opposite the galley to starboard and there is plenty of space for charts and electronic equipment.Aft of the nav area is a good-sized quarter berth.
The heater is a wallas 2400, it's a paraffin space heater that sits on the wall in the head; currently not working. There is a small electric heater for use with shorepower.
