Description

This lovingly restored 1985 LaBelle (Marine Trader) Sundeck Trawler has the indoor and outdoor space to make living aboard a pleasure.  She can serve as a live-aboard at the dock, but her tank capacity and updated navionics allows her to serve well as a medium-range cruising yacht. She has a length  of 40', beam of 13.5', and draft of 4', and the standard Marine Trader layout with two staterooms, galley, and heads down, and a midships open salon with serving counter that overlooks the galley up. Comfortably sleeps six with a queen bed in the aft cabin, a double bed in the forward cabin, and a settee in the salon that converts to a double.  Many custom enhancements have been added to the original design.  On the exterior, all decks are now teak over fiberglass, and the stanchions supporting the sundeck roof are also teak.  Windshields are covered by phifertex to reduce glare, and all brightwork and many other components are protected by custom canvas.  On the inside, custom curtains cover windows and portlights, and beds in both berths have custom mattresses and linens in a blue and white nautical theme.

Characteristic of Tiawanese trawlers of the 80's and 90's, the builders of this boat were lavish in their use of teak. The custom additions to the interior were made with an eye toward harmonizing with the original cabinetry.  The new cabinetry includes a chart table with drawer, and liquor cabinet in the salon, and extra cabinets, large drawers, spice rack, small-appliance cubby, knife rack and wine glass rack in the galley.

The navionics and other electronics have been updated, and a NMEA 2000 circuit installed.  In addition, most peripheral components of the engines have been replaced or rebuilt over the past six years.

A 2020 survey has given a value of $85,000 for this boat, and many improvements have been added since.
