Just listed! Lovely 1956 Hubert Johnson 34 Express "Mahogany Partners". This beautiful picnic/fishing boat has been completely restored and refinished at St Lawrence Restoration in Clayton, NY. Has the original 1956 Chrysler Crown 115hp twin gas inboard engines. Cruises at a comfortable 17 mph with max speed around 24 mph. Boat has a new canvas top, galley with working sink, ice box, table with bench seating and bathroom. Also included are GPS, compass, trim tabs, life jackets, throw cushions, fenders, lines, boat hook, distress flag. flare kit, 110 shore power and cord, bilge blower, batteries, dual battery switch, battery charger, thru hull exhaust and sea cocks.
She was built by Hubert & Paul Johnson in Bayhead, NJ who built "sea skiffs" of lapstrake construction from 16 feet to 50 feet. During WW II, they built 42-foot picket patrol boats, and 43-foot airplane re-arming vessels.
St. Lawrence Restoration has done a complete restoration of the 34 Hubert Johnson. They have invested 650 hours of work in this restoration. The result is an amazing example of wood craftsmanship as she cruises the Thousand Islands and St. Lawrence River. Boathouse kept, she is in excellent condition.
