12v Electrical System

550 amp hr (5 x GP 31) AGM house bank. 750 CCA AGM start battery. 900 CCA AGM bow thruster battery. 1800w invertor 40 amp 120v battery charger direct to house bank with Blue Seas SI-ACR relays to charge start battery and thruster battery. Promariner alternator booster increases 80 amp Yanmar alternator output to 130 amp without additional engine load. Wired for 600 watt solar, just add new panels and solar controller for plug and play. Spectra Cape Horn Extreme watermaker uses 1 amp per gallon up to 18 gallons per hour. With a minimum of 400 watts solar system in full sun, the solar system will replace the ninety amp hours of 12v battery capacity consumed by the watermaker to fill the water tanks.

 

120v Electrical System

Dual 30 amp shore power circuits with receptacles on the stern and in the anchor locker for easy shore power hook up. Both receptacle locations are protected by dual 30 amp circuit breakers and galvanic isolators. A selector switch on the main panel selects the shore power receptacle location (forward or aft) and has an off position as well. Vessel was originally equipped with a diesel generator that has been removed by previous owner. All generator cooling hose, electrical wiring, exhaust system and fuel lines remain in place. The vessel comes equipped with two air conditioners; a 10k BTU Marine Airrr unit for the Owner’s aft stateroom, located in the port hanging locker while a 16k BTU Dometic unit is located in the forward cabin. Air conditioning outlets are located in all cabins and in both heads.

Galley Equipment

The galley is unparalleled in a 40 footer. Molded counter tops, a front and top access refrigerator/freezer and a three-burner stovetop and oven with stainless steel stove hood create a pleasant, functional environment for the cook

Deck and Hull Equipment

New Mack Sails Full Batten Cruising Mainsail with 3 reef points using new Tides Marine Strong Track, new batt slides, new lazy jacks and new Mack Pac. Garhauer traveler, rigid boom vang and double-ended mainsheet. Single-line reefing system modified to ease mainsail reefing.

Reconditioned 130% Genoa on Schaffer roller furler with Garhauer cockpit adjustable sheet block travelers.

Asymmetrical Spinnaker with ATN sock, snatch blocks and rigging hardware in deck turtle bag; mast-mounted spinnaker pole.

Mantus 50 lb primary anchor, Mantus swivel on 150 ft chain rode. Maxwell VW 800 vertical windlass. Lewmar aluminum Danforth 60 secondary anchor. Mantus bridle. West Marine washdown with ¼ turn flush hose outlet all located in bow anchor locker. Windlass and bow thruster wireless remote for stress-free anchor retrieval.

Accommodations

The bright and airy interior accommodations are some of the most comfortable in her class. The aft cabin has private access to the head with stall shower, an oversize queen bed with innerspring mattress, great ventilation and lots of storage. The main cabin with 6’-11” headroom is an inviting place to lounge with deep, comfortable seats with Ultraleather fabric and a large dining table. The forward cabin comes with a large vberth with innerspring mattress; ensuite wet head and hanging locker. The galley is unparalleled in a 40 footer. Molded counter tops, a front and top access refrigerator/freezer and a three-burner stovetop and oven with stainless steel stove hood create a pleasant, functional environment for the cook. The port side chart table comes with an Ultraleather upholstered swivel seat.

Mechanical Equipment

Reliable Yanmar engine coupled with robust autopilot, super-efficient Autoprop and Side Power bow thruster provides excellent maneuvering under power. The well thought-out sail handling systems make sailing a breeze at a design hull speed approaching 8 knots. The Kato davits, anchoring system, tankage, 12v electrical system, and superb ventilation and cabin fans provide comfortable living “on the hook”.
