Overview

MERLIN is an Alen 45, built by Turkish yard ALEN YACHTS in Istanbul. MERLIN is a sleek, simple, and attractive walkaround day-boat that maximizes the use of exterior space; it is for the boater who would rather experience the sea than feel confined. High bulwarks will keep passengers secure and protected from spray, and the V-shaped hull is designed to ensure steady cruising in all conditions. Twelve guests can fit comfortably on board and will be well accommodated by the alfresco dining area and wet bar. There is ample space on the front and aft sunpads.

Quality is certainly emphasized in this boat, with everything except the glass done in-house, from teak to custom stainless-steel hardware. One example of this is the half-inch-thick teak decking rather than the more standard quarter-inch and a strong sandwich hull with AIREX foam further contributes to sound control. Every Alen is a custom handmade product with a fit and finish that is second to none. 

The boat is powered by two 440-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines coupled with Rolls Royce water jets providing a comfortable and vibration-free ride. The 6.6Kw Mase Marine generator with built-in sound shell provides sufficient power to run all of the boat's amenities. The MERLIN has an air-conditioned helm and cabin, a hydraulic swim ladder, and a full wet bar with BBQ. MERLIN has been built to US specification (110v/60hz).
