PRICE DROP! One of the few aft cabin models on the market. Mechanical system perfection makes this boat stand apart from other Mainships on the market. Engines, transmissions, A/C systems.... all have been meticulously maintained or upgraded throughout its entire life. Transmissions were replaced/rebuilt at 2900 hours, with new, upgraded thrust plates installed. Fore and aft A/C systems were replaced in 2016, while the salon A/C has been serviced and charged spring of 2021. The deep cycle house battery bank was entirely replaced in 2021 along with new engine starting batteries and charging system. A new windlass was installed in July of 2020 to handle the 250' of chain rode and the forward handrails were rebedded at the same time. New Danby fridge/freezer installed in 2018. Even small details like the automatic water valves supplying the heads have been upgraded with industrial style control valves. Anyone who has ever had a head overflow from a stuck, cheap fill valve will appreciate the positive shut off these valves offer. Turbo, trans and water coolers have been routinely cleaned, engine zincs religiously changed, and strainers have been outfitted with flush valves, allowing fresh water flushing of engines on a regular basis. When comparing this vessel with similar boats, pay close attention to photos of their engine rooms. If there are no engine room photos, or if you notice soot, rust, water stains, peeling paint, clutter, etc., you will get an idea of the lack of attention given these systems. We welcome surveyors and encourage a prospective buyer to bring a mechanic to verify the high level of maintenance these engines and the generator have been afforded. The hull has been recently painted with Trinidad75 bottom paint, and is serviced monthly by a diving company. Cutlass bearings were replaced in 2019, and underwater zincs are replaced as needed by divers. The bridge was recently outfitted with new upholstery and a bimini was installed on the aft deck for shade in the afternoons. There are few 430 Mainships on the market, and none that have been mechanically maintained to such high standards.
The Mainship 430 “fast” trawler is a trunk cabin cruising yacht with traditional trawler styling and good speed. Built on a solid fiberglass semi-displacement hull with a wide 15'6" beam the 430 is a big boat with plenty of storage space. The galley-down layout has a very spacious salon with port and starboard deck doors. A breakfast bar with two stools overlooks the galley, and the forward stateroom has an island berth. The owner’s stateroom has a cockpit access door. The 430 interior features teak cabinets and teak and holly flooring in the salon and galley. Walk around decks make getting around easy and secure. Yanmar 440hp diesels cruise the yacht at 13–15 knots, top speed is 21 knots.
"Skin Deep" has been maintained meticulously & professionally maintained.
