Description



The Hunter Horizon 23 is a four (plus) berth family cruiser offering exceptional strength and stability. The interior features full standing headroom and separate head compartment. The vessel is a fractional rig sloop with a self tacking jib, Slab Reef Mainsail with Lazyjacks, Boom cover & powered by a Tohatsu 8HP outboard in a well that was new in 2006. This particular Hunter Horizon 23 is fitted with bilge keels and can be dried out. Below Decks, she has a navigation station with chart table & separate galley area with gas hob, coolbox & sink & heads with chemical toilet & wet locker. It comes with Tiller steering with auto-helm as well as a Garmin Plotter & VHF. It has recently had new antifoul & a clean & standing rigging was replaced in 2018 but her Owner has sadly passed away, hence the sale. It is currently lying ashore in Southampton & is ready to view.

The Hunter Horizon 23 is a superb entry level / first family cruising yacht. With a surprising amount of space accommodating 4 berths, separate heads & galley with hob, sink & cool box, this little boat packs quite a huge amount into her size. She also houses a separate navigation station with a chart table. Her saloon is light & airy thanks to the numerous windows & access to her saloon is protected by the spray hood. On deck, she has a good sized cockpit with engine controls and tiller steering & she is designed to be easy to sail with a self-tacking furling foresail and all lines led aft to the cockpit.



With a good inventory & equipment list coupled with her efficient layout, this Hunter Horizon 23 offers everything you could need for fun family sailing in coastal waters & is presented in overall good condition and has had its standing rigging replaced only 3 years ago.
