Arribida is a Grady-White 222 Fisherman. She is one of the finest purpose built sports fishing day boats ever built. Designed for offshore fishing in the Pacific South West this boat is fast and immensely capable. Built for offshore fishing in the Pacific, she is a very safe and stable platform even in the worst of Channel seas or the carnage of wind over tide on inshore marks. This is not a rib, she is a proper boat. In particular, she is completely capable in the short seas known as a ‘Solent chop’. People generally do not know that the Solent can in fact be incredibly scary when wind is facing tide. Arrabida meets that challenge with aplomb. She is perfect for chasing bass in the Solent and offshore in the Channel seas. She is capable of holding her own in the worst waters, be that in strong tidal marks inshore or in heavy seas 30 miles offshore. The current owner is a specialist bass fisherman who due to ill health has to give up this boat, she is probably the best fast fishing bass platform currently available in the UK.
The boat is perfect for weekend picnicking on remote beaches, water skiing or just cutting a dash on a sunny day in the Solent.
Her outboard engine originates from a rib charter company. It has been properly serviced religiously by both them and her current owner and our engineer rates it as ‘perfect’. High hours but perfectly looked after, better than one that has been used little.
