Bristol 47.7 Brochure

Liberty features a 4'11" shoal draft, heavier displacement hull form with a centerboard – allowing access to shoal areas that vessel of her size can only dream of. She is one of the best maintained performance cruising Bristol 47.7 center cockpits to reach the brokerage market.

ON DECK:

Liberty qualifies as one of the finest examples of this very popular Ted Hood design with classic lines and beautiful cherry interior woodwork. Her rugged, solid fiberglass construction, modern shoal draft keel (with centerboard system) and spacious accommodations make her one of the most coveted, high-quality, semi-custom designs. No expense was spared when she was built and the current and past owners have continually upgraded her equipment and machinery.

She is ready to sail away with anti-fouling bottom paint, bow thruster, prop with custom caging, skeg hung rudder, stainless steel pushpit, outboard motor mount, gate on transom with drop-down stainless steel folding ladder with teak treads, two aft deck storage lockers, oversized stainless steel chocks and cleats to port and starboard, Lifesling, bright teak dorade boxes with chrome cowls port and starboard teak hand rails port and starboard and main sheet traveler. Her center cockpit is incredibly spacious for both sailing and relaxation purposes. She's outfitted with a full suite of marine electronics, including a large touch-screen chart plotter at her helm, bow thruster and auto pilot controls and binacle compass, as well as a cockpit table.

Her hull is Flag Blue Awlgrip with gold cove stripe. The white and light grey fiberglass decks have a molded nonskid on the side decks and cabin top. Liberty features a painted aluminum mast with electric, in-mast furling gear, insulated backstay, Harken backstay adjuster, heavy-duty boom vang, spinnaker pole assembly on mast, and headsail roller furling, foredeck and spreader lights, tri-color light on mast, covers for spreader tips and a flag halyard. As you proceed forward, along her wide side decks, you'll be pleased with her substantial electric windlass equipped with foot switches, neatly organized anchor locker, foredeck wash down, and anchoring system.

Her weather decks are flanked with stainless steel stations port and starboard with double life lines, gates to port and starboard and "baby gate" netting throughout. She's equipped with an outer track with cars port and starboard on top of toe rail and inner tracks with cars port and starboard and stainless steel midships chocks and cleats port and starboard.

"Quality construction begins with a hull of hand laminated solid fiberglass, reinforced in high stress areas. Vinylester resin is used in the outer most laminates. The deck, also of hand-laminated fiberglass, features a 1/2 inch balsa core for stiffening and a molded nonskid deck surface. In built-to-last Bristol fashion, the deck is fitted to a recessed flange on the hull and through bolted on 6″ centers. To complete the hull-to-deck bond, a teak toe rail is though bolted at alternating intervals. Each interior bulkhead is joined to the hull and deck with fiberglass, while the cabin sole is constructed of individual pieces of solid teak and ash splines that are screwed and then glued to a sub-floor... The hydro dynamically shaped centerboard is constructed of solid fiberglass with steel reinforcing rods added for strength. Bronze seacocks are used on all thru hulls and are grounded. Special features include custom stainless steel water tanks connected by selection manifolds as well as state of the art electrical and mechanical systems easily accessed for maintenance. All chain plates are stainless steel and are through bolted to fiberglass knees, which are bonded to the hull. Each chain plate is accessible for routine inspection." Bristol 47.7 Brochure
