1992 Viking 50C
The 2 most important things when buying a used boat are the Hull and the Drivetrain. This boat is pulled out of the water, here in New York in November, Shrink wrapped, winterized and stored on the hard till May. Freezing temperatures here would show any bad spots in the hull. The engines are 8V92 single wet Turbo Detroits with 1500 original hours. I've owned the boat for 10 years. As a mechanic by trade, I've kept them running sweet with proper maintenance. Transmissions are the Italian version of B &H. I've changed the filters and oil twice since I've owned it. Shaft packings are new, bearings tight and props in good shape. Rudder shafts have been repacked and are watertight. Onan 12k diesel generator the same hours as engines. 3 a/c units work perfectly.
The master suite is on the right as you walk down the stairs. Queen bed with private shower, toilet, and sink. To the left down the stairs is a 2-bed bunk room. Next door is the fishing rod closet. Next is another shower, toilet, and sink. Straight forward is a 2 bunk room in the bow. All furniture, rugs, ceiling are in good shape.
Nice layout with up kitchen, full-size refrigerator, 2 burner stove, Microwave, garbage disposal in the sink. New(this year) hot water heater. Salon furniture, brown leather color in good shape, Bose surround a sound audio system thru out the boat, 40" TV and Direct TV antenna, CD and DVD players.
Bridge enclosed EZTCY material windows, New this year, rear canvas. Cushions fair shape but usable.
Electronics. Northstar 6100 GPS, Furuno 295 fishfinder with 3k sender, Simrad autopilot, Rayathon 19 mile radar with 4' array, Northstar GPS, 2 Icom VHF radios, 4 500-watt halogen exterior cockpit lights. 360 movable Headlight.
