Description

Accommodations

The Ericson 35 MKIII is one of Ericson's most popular racer/cruiser models. Built from the late 60's into the 90's they are a great looking boat with a pronounced sheer and well balanced overhangs. This 1986 Mark III model, hull number 242, has a high performance fin keel and is well equipped on deck for sail handling from the cockpit. She is a perfect boat for weekends, racing or coastal cruising, and built sturdy enough for long distance voyages.

She has a spacious cockpit with seating for up to six. With all lines led aft through locking blocks her sails can be controlled with minimal trips to the deck.

Stepping down from the cockpit into the main salon, she features an interior with genuine teak cabinetry, a soft vinyl headliner, and a varnished teak/holly sole. Plenty of light and air from 2 opening hatches, 7 opening ports plus 4 fixed ports.

  • Forward, a private cabin features a comfortable berth with a custom-fitted mattress. A dressing settee lifts and doubles as a filler piece.  Abundant drawer space and adjacent hanging locker offer plenty of options for personal gear and attire.
  • Aft to port the head compartment layout includes a vanity sink, locker storage, mirror, manual toilet (head pump to holding tank only), and a separate shower compartment. Ventilation is provided with an opening port and solar vent.
  • The main salon is spacious, warm, and comfortable. There's a U-shaped dinette with seating for 5 and a comfortable lounging settee opposite. The table can be dropped down to create another double berth.
  • To starboard, the U-shaped galley is outfitted with a 3 burner propane stove/oven, deep stainless sink, cold plate refrigeration (not working), and large amounts of storage options. A locker door opens to a trash compartment located away in the cockpit locker.
  • Opposite the galley to port is a forward-facing nav station with electrical panels and electronics.
  • Aft of the nav station is a  6'6" x 4' quarter berth with a port opening to the cockpit.
  • The entire boat is heated and cooled by a marine 16,000 btu a/c system (2012).
