The Ericson 35 MKIII is one of Ericson's most popular racer/cruiser models. Built from the late 60's into the 90's they are a great looking boat with a pronounced sheer and well balanced overhangs. This 1986 Mark III model, hull number 242, has a high performance fin keel and is well equipped on deck for sail handling from the cockpit. She is a perfect boat for weekends, racing or coastal cruising, and built sturdy enough for long distance voyages.
She has a spacious cockpit with seating for up to six. With all lines led aft through locking blocks her sails can be controlled with minimal trips to the deck.
Stepping down from the cockpit into the main salon, she features an interior with genuine teak cabinetry, a soft vinyl headliner, and a varnished teak/holly sole. Plenty of light and air from 2 opening hatches, 7 opening ports plus 4 fixed ports.
The U-shaped galley on the Ericson 35 is starboard at the base of the companionway steps.
The Ericson 35 is a Bruce King design and a great upwind performer with sea-kindly characteristics. A robust tri-axle grid liner is bonded into the hull and engineered to collectively support the rig, keel, and engine while reducing overall weight.
