This is the Atlantic 47 MY. Her name is Surf Song. People mistake her for a Hatteras all the time because she was designed by Jack Hargrave, the man who designed all the hatteras boats up to this point in time. She's a classic, exquisitely maintained, and everything works as it should.
She has undergone a bottom job ($13k alone). She was bead blasted to the gelcoat less than a year ago. She has two layers of barrier coat, worm coat, and three layers of bottom paint. Running gear was painted. Too many other upgrades to mention, like nearly $100k in toto.
Surf Song is ready to go. Currently in a slip in Athens Alabama at $400/mth until December. I've got to let her go because of my wife's health. We were ready to go on the great loop.
She'll get nearly 2 miles per gallon, depending on wind and currents, at 1100 rpm making generally 8 knots. At WOT, she'll get 22knots. She's as cheap to run as trawlers.
She holds 600 gallons of fuel in three tanks so she is considered a long range yacht with a range of 1000 miles. Awesome for the loop.
