The deck has been completely re-epoxyed and painted

She was stripped down and ground out to remove her concrete and rusty cast iron ballast. This was then replaced with a far superior encapsulated lead ballast which has been bolted and bonded to the hull. This has increased her draft to 4ft and improved her VMG and overall performance.

Tamarisk 24 completely refitted in 2012 and has had minimal use since, based on the Itchen ferry design. Numerous upgrades and maintenance carried out make her the ideal day cruiser and racer. Her ballast has been replaced and keel lengthened to increase her VMG performance and overall windward capabilities. Her deck and cockpit have had completely rebuilt with new coats of epoxy and re-sheathing. Rebuilt Yanmar 2QM with all new fuel lines and shaft along with new standing rigging and comprehensive sail wardrobe. Gaff cutter ready to set sail whether it be a leisurely cruise or in class racing, currently residing in Isle of Wight ready for viewing.
