Accommodations

Cockpit, Saloon & Galley
SARAH KATHERINE is a wide-body two stateroom, two head model. Boarding to the cockpit is easy by the large pass-through boarding doors on both port and starboard, plus a third boarding door from the swim platform. This arrangement helps make docking to either port or starboard feasible. The cockpit or “back porch” of the Krogen 48AE is a large, fully-covered protected area. It has become a signature feature, as the cockpit extends the living from cockpit to saloon by large opening the Diamond Seaglaze welded aluminum, storm proof double doors. SARAH KATHERINE features additional custom ocean-grade windows on the bottom of the doors to permit additional light into the saloon, plus a retractable screen across the entire entry.
SARAH KATHERINE’s spacious saloon features the warmth of American Cherry wood and plank flooring, plus a larger, frameless picture windows (only found on late model or new Kadey-Krogens), for additional sunlight and warmth. They make a huge difference for those cruisers who love to “bring the outdoors in”. To starboard is a L-shaped settee finished in custom Ultraleather, custom drawer storage below, custom pillows, a hi/lo convertible
dining table (up to six people) To port is an area for moveable furniture, such as custom chairs. Custom blinds complete the area.

Of all the Kadey-Krogen models, the Krogen 48AE has also stood out for its amazing amount of storage versus overall length. It is hard for even larger models to compete. Attention was given to not only to convenient storage, but to bulk storage spaces as well. SARAH KATHERINE’s builders paid particular attention to this detail in crafting their
cabinetry as liveaboards – keeping the lines clean and flush so the yacht is always in order and visually pleasing, while ensuring accessibility to all items necessary for life onboard.

Master Stateroom & Master Head
SARAH Katherine features a bright and tall forward owners suite, welcoming in natural light and fresh air with portlights and oversized overhead hatches. She also has an island full queen-sized berth and foam mattress, flanking seats in custom fabric with storage underneath, large hanging lockers both port and starboard, a large chest of drawers with
mirrors and another set of drawers under the bed. The berth itself is on gas struts and easily lifts to reveal a huge bulk storage space.  The en-suite owner’s head features sink, Dometic Master Flush toilet and separate shower, plus custom quartz countertops.  Custom pillows.

Guest Cabin & Guest Head
SARAH KATHERINE's guest cabin sits to starboard and was custom designed for dual-purposes, sleep and work.  To starboard is a beautiful over/under double fixed berth, with the larger of the berths below. Custom mattress covers fit berths perfectly. Forward is a nicely-sized desk area, for keeping your important work neatly organized.  Overhead
is a lighted bookshelf. Additional areas include a chest of drawers, locker and other drawer/cabinet areas.  Across from the guest stateroom is the guest head, featuring sink, custom quartz countertops, Dometic Master Flush toilet, and separate shower.
Inboard of the shower there is a full-sized (brand new) separate and vented GE washer and dryer.  Custom pillows.

Pilothouse
SARAH KATHERINE's pilothouse is raised and designed with an expansive helm station, complete Furuno electronics package, oversized chart tables, Stidd Admiral helm chair, and extra-long convertible settee with hi/lo table. The settee pulls out to make into a double berth, perfect for extended passage making or additional guests. One of the wonderful
features of a Kadey-Krogen pilothouse are the port and starboard Diamond Sea Glaze stormproof Dutch doors.  Open the top door when you want fresh air without losing the safety of having the bottom door closed and locked.  On the helm station, you will find custom black backing and mats which help to reduced glare and provide protection for the wood, while also helping to keep movable items in place like binoculars, phones or tablets.
