If it's a true turnkey solution you are looking for in a mid-thirties high performance cruiser, then look no further! The owners of "MIDNIGHT RAIN" are meticulous in their care of the vessel, and you will see that from the moment you step onboard. The large swim platform provides an excellent, safe boarding area, also doubles as a place to stow a tender, and is a great place to sit and hang your feet in the water. There is a custom SeaWise Davit system currently mounted on the swim platform which does come with the boat. In the transom, you will also find the shore power inlets to stbd, a large transom storage locker on center line, and ample cleats to tie the boat off, or a tender.Moving into the cockpit, there is a large u-shaped seating area to stbd, a wet bar to port with an Isotherm stainless steel fridge/freezer, and engine room access at two points with a small opening hatch over the genset, and the assisted lift main hatch which is the aft seating, giving great engine access for service work, etc. Formula made very sure that there are enough cup/drink holders in the cockpit, and they are all stainless steel. A good looking radar arch provides a central point for the bimini top to attach to from either side.
The arch also contains lighting and speakers. There is a cockpit cover for summer, another full heavy winter cover, and full surround cockpit canvas to be able to use the boat in cooler weather. There is even a heating duct plumbed into the cockpit as part of the diesel furnace. Up forward in the cockpit, the helm station is to stbd side, and gives the helmsman an excellent view while underway, and complete control of the vessel for effortless operation.
On the helm, you have everything you need, such as navigation electronics, stereo control, engine gauge packages, trim tab control and display, bow thruster control, spotlight control, and anchor windlass control with a chain counter system! What more could you need!
From the cockpit, you descend into a salon that makes you realize how immaculate and well cared for this vessel is. The exterior shows very well, but the interior looks almost unused! "MIDNIGHT RAIN" has a gorgeous cherry and cream interior theme, which exudes elegance. The size and comfort below decks, makes this the perfect couples boat, with room for guests in the aft convertible berth, and if it's warm, the cockpit seating also converts into a berth. The forward owner's berth, is the classic island queen, which everyone loves and wants. Good size hanging lockers to either side, as well as under berth storage provide enough space to go cruising for a good amount of time.
The large head/shower to port side, is well equipped with a vacuflush head, corian countertop, stainless sink, storage in the medicine cabinet, and undersink cabinet. The shower has a plexiglass folding door, which creates more of a stall type shower experience.
The galley, also to port side, is well equipped with a two plate electric stove, stainless steel sink, microwave, and an Isotherm stainless steel fridge/freezer combo. The corian counter tops are in excellent condition, and show no wear. Over to stbd, the dinette can seat four people comfortably, and provides a good viewpoint for the TV unit forward of the galley. In the salon floor, there are two hatches, one accesses the Lifeline 8D house batteries, and the other gives access to the MarineAire, air conditioning unit (2018). The controls for this AC unit are over on the stbd side of the salon, along with the Wallas Diesel Furnace controls, Magnum Inverter Remote Panel, CO detector, and KenwoodStereo.
From the salon, going aft, you find the aft seating area, which converts to a berth for two. There is also a good size hanging locker that accompanies this aft berth, as well as under seating storage.
The last point will be engine room. Clean, well maintained, and every thing is very accessible to work on. Low hours (P-941, S-938) on the Volvo 8.1 Gi's mean you have a huge amount of life left in these very reliable, and well regarded engines. The owner has had the engines, genset, and outdrives professionally serviced since new. This is the type of owner you want to buy a boat from! There is a separate diesel fill and tank (12 Gal) to portside in the engine room, which supplies the diesel furnace, and will last most of the year with that capacity.
All in all, "MIDNIGHT RAIN" is excellently setup for cruising anywhere, anytime! Don't miss this opportunity to own a magnificent vessel! The Formula name is synonymous with quality, and "MIDNIGHT RAIN" is a perfect example of that quality. Call the listing broker today.
