Enclosed Bridge - The bridge is accessed from a curved stairway leading up from Starboard midship. The bridge level includes a very well equipped helm, two seating areas, pilots cabin, head, & an exterior aft deck with seating. This is a comfortable, warm, and spacious area to spend extended time underway while doubling as work/social space when moored.

Exterior Aft Bridge Deck:
Walking a center hallway aft you exit to the exterior bridge deck through a quality aluminum exterior door. Upon exiting you will find the door and opening well protected under an overhang. The quality space opens up to a modest sized deck and seating area. A perfect exterior space that provides privacy and comfy built in seating to take in the views.
Electronics & Navigation:
Swim Platform - The swim platform is molded integral to the vessel and is finished with non skid coatings. Its height is well positioned close to the water but with just enough clearance. There is plenty of space to transition, launch the tender, or set up a few folding chairs on that perfect sunny afternoon. The davits are cleanly designed and minimally intrusive, they allow for effortless launching of vessels up to 1200lbs.
Tender - This is a great sized tender for exploring, it is easily managed by the davit system which keeps the tender protected & secure underway.
Decks General - All walking areas are finished with non skid coatings, and are well protected. A combination of molded bulwark and robust stainless steel safety rail combine at different heights to create a consistent top rail height of 30-31". All deck areas are illuminated by courtesy lighting.
Cockpit - Up four easy steps from the Starboard swim platform you access the cockpit through a full height stainless steel transom gate. Upon entry to the cockpit you will notice the well protected and laid out cockpit area. This area is protected by a full integral hard top, raised bulwarks, and a strong Stainless Steel handrail.
Side Decks - Side decks are accessed with a few easy steps from the cockpt and then stay one level with the foredeck, no further transitions. These are wide easy walkways protected by at least 30" high outside side protection.
Foredeck - The foredeck comprises of the walkaround, a raised cabin trunk, and foredeck area on the same level as the walkaround.
Superstructure - This vessel has a clean low maintenance exterior. The quality frameless glass cabin windows and windshields look great, no cracks, looks like the day it was launched. Very Impressive.
General - The main access to the accommodations is through a high quality glass and stainless steel dual sliding door, which is also fitted with screens. The interior and accommodations are very well finished with light headliners and rich cherrywood. Cherrywood Millwork, Bulkheads, Cabinetry and Accents are well done and throughout the vessel. The solid wood doors and cabinets are very impressive and contrast what is found with many production builds. All cabinets and drawer bottoms in the accommodations are cedar lined.
Salon - Upon entry to the salon you will be greeted with a bright open but warmly finished space. The huge glass windows with recessed coamings and light cherrywood surrounds and contrasts the light headliner and carpeted sole. The Salon provides a comfortable seating, lounging, and media area, while sharing the room with the nicely set up dining area. The furnature is loose and could be easily changed to suit an owners preference.
Dining - The dining area shares space with the salon which allows it to take advantage of the views. It has a fixed table finished in Burled Walnut and Cherrywood, matching light fixture, four stable dining chairs, and a huge "Buffet" for storage and additional counter space.
Transition - Two wide steps up from the Salon/Dining brings you to a short hallway that leads to the Galley, Pilothouse Stairway, Deck Access, or to the Accommodation Stairway. This is also the location of the main electrical control panel.
Galley - The dedicated space and layout for the Galley is very impressive. It is a huge space with the full 16' beam used for this space and the transition to the lower cabins. The 270 degree views and full wrap around counter top with peninsula will ensure this is always a bright and pleasant space to be. Full sized kitchen appliances and an incredible ammount of storage makes this one of the best galleys you will find on a vessel of this size. Again high quality cherrywood cabinetry.
Transition - The Staterooms are located down a carpeted staircase with courtesy lighting and a cherrywood handrailing. This stairway stops at the first level which brings you to a forward leading hallway connecting the VIP Stateroom, Third Stateroom, & Second Head. Aft of the first level is another stairway leading further aft and down which provides private access to the master stateroom and ensuite head.
Master Stateroom & Ensuite Head - This is a spacious well thought out master stateroom. A balance between a King Sized master berth and walls of storage strike a nice balance of luxury and practicality. Storage is lacking in so many boats these days, this is a boat that has no shortage of it. The location of this Master Stateroom will keep exterior water noise and boat motion to a minimum allowing for peaceful sleeps.
Ensuite Head
VIP Stateroom - Furthest forward is the VIP stateroom, this has a double centerline island berth. Direct access from this stateroom to the second head.
Third Stateroom - Located to Port is a generous third Stateroom set up with two singe berths in a cross bunk layout.
Second Head - Located Starboard and aft of the VIP Stateroom is the second head. It is comprises of the vanity, toilet, and separate shower. This Head can be accessed from the hallway or through a separate entrance in the VIP stateroom.
Engine & Mechanical Rooms - This is a very impressive mechanical room for a vessel of this size. Access to the aft water tight door is from the swim platform, which steps down into a storage and mechanical room space. There is a second watertight door that leads into the engine compartment. There is an alternate access from aft of the Master Stateroom to provide an option of internal access to the engine room. This access is also through a robust watertight and soundproof door.
Once inside the mechanical room you will find it to be well lit, clean and bright. There is good access to all systems and is an overall comfortable place to spend time. Good headroom adds to the convenience and comfort of the space. Raised level grating for walkways through the engine compartment.

Launched in late 2005, the 67-foot Northern Spirit was designed by Ed Monk Jr., with structural engineering by Tim Nolan Marine Design.

This is a custom motoryacht designed for its current and original owner by Ed Monk Jr, and Tim Nolan Marine, built and completed by the McQueen boatyard in 2005. This is a very high quality vessel that has been carefully cruised & maintained since its commissioning. The dimensions are impressive with a beam of over 20' allowing for generous size side decks while still leaving beam for spacious accommodations. The feel of space and subtance onboard this vessel is one more typically found on 70-75' boats.
This is a three stateroom, two head design with an additional pilots cabin or fourth stateroom on the bridge. The fully enclosed bridge offers ample seating and provides unparalleled comfort and visibility, a perfect design for all weather exploration. Other amenities such as the very generous galley combined with the quality dining and salon make this vessel well suited for extended time aboard with all the comforts of home. This design surrounds its guests with views, natural light, and contrasts nicely with the warm blend of quality finishes.
Although a spacious, comfortable, and attractive vessel is a great start, it would not be complete without a solid sea kindly and proven hull. This vessels Monk designed hull is efficient and seaworthy. The vessel has regularly been run on most North West waters, in a variety of conditions and has proven itself to be stable and comfortable in a sea, regularly out performing larger boats in its class. Twin 800hp Caterpillar Diesels & Hydraulic Stabilizers keep the boat settled and efficient underway. A 10kt cruise can consume as little as 1 USG per Nautical Mile. Combine the impressive fuel tankage of 1680 US Gallons with easy running and the result will be a very impressive range, or more importantly an extended time on the water without the need to re-fuel.
This boathouse kept vessel has been continuously maintained and run by the owners skipper who started working with this vessel during its design and construction. The result is a beautiful ready to use Yacht that looks like it could have been just launched.
The owner of this McQueen has spent many happy seasons cruising Northern Spirit in the North West. The time has come for a new appreciative owner to take the helm of this exceptional vessel, if the design matches your needs and wishes, I can not imagine finding a better boat in this range.
