Make this someone's Christmas Surprise.
Here is our 1988 Ocean Yachts 35ss. This boat has many updates to it. This was our starter boat that we bought to see if boating was right for us.
This summer we did a lot to modernize the kitchen and salon. These upgrades include solid counters on the dividing wall. Brand new custom fabric blinds. Brand new high grade vinyl on the dinette seating. A regular sized kitchen sink as well as new plumbing using blue and red Pex plumbing.
The engines are fuel efficient Yanmars, model 6lya-stp and are capable of pushing this boat a touch over 28 knots. As you can see in the photos the port engine has 841 hours, the starboard has 798 hours. All this while drinking 20 gallons per hour cruising right at 20 knots.
When we bought this. The surveyor appraised it at 69,000 without the genset. We have since put a Westerbeke 5kw with 1374 hours.
Take a minute and look at the wheelhouse also. Two marine VHF radios for safety. A 12” Raymarine system with open array radar. The eisenglass is in pretty decent shape, but only 3 sides.
Bottom was cleaned and barrier painted this July. Hull was done in Stars and Stripes blue two summers ago.
