The main salon of the 40 Cabo Express provides accommodations and comfort not normally found on a vessel in the 40-foot range. The feeling of spaciousness, coupled with comfort, and a refined elegance becomes immediately apparent. A settee on the starboard side comfortable seats six and converts to upper and lower berths for guests. To port is a very impressive galley outfitted with a spacious refrigerator/freezer, cooktop, molded-in sink and a microwave/convection oven. The galley is finished with a beautiful, polished Corian countertop and provides an assortment of drawers and cabinets for storage. A large cedar lined closet further compliments the abundance of storage throughout the vessel. As many as 10 rods can be stored in dedicated lockers port and starboard. The fit and finish throughout the interior, and for that matter, throughout the vessel, sets Cabo apart from the competition. On the interior, teak is used throughout, all of which was individually milled at the factory and was stored in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment during construction. The teak has been carefully sanded and multiple coats of marine varnish were applied, and then buffed to create a beautiful satin finish. The master stateroom forward features a large island berth with drawers and locker space below. As in the salon, the forward stateroom has abundance of storage.
The main cabin of the 40 Cabo Express provides accommodations and comfort not normally found in a vessel at only 40’. One of the nicest features of the Cabo 40 Express is her large bridge deck which provides an excellent view in all directions. The Bridge Deck features (2) Stidd Captain’s chairs. On the starboard side of the bridge deck there is a large fishing tackle center, and icemaker. Running athwartship and returning forward on the port side is a large settee to provide additional seating. One of the special features of the Cabo 40 Express is that the entire bridge deck will raise to provide complete access to the engine room. Accessibility to not only the engines, but all of the components in the engine room are within sight, reach, and far easier to maintain and service than virtually any other vessel in Salty’ s class. Three steps down from the bridge deck leads to the cockpit. There are fishing lockers molded‐in port and starboard. The port fishing locker has built‐in refrigeration. Molded into the transom is a live bait well. Transom door is on the starboard side and there is beautifully appointed bolstering on the bulwarks, port and starboard, and transom. Forward of the cockpit, located on the aft portion of the bridge deck is a sink and bait freezer.
