Talon 25 PilotHouse Motor Vessel "Three Graces" is a variation on the Osprey 26 Pilothouse, built as a semi-custom boat by the Sims family in Sedro Wolley, WA, after they sold Osprey Boats to Triton Marine. The Sims built and marketed it as a 2007 Talon 25 - not an Osprey - but it is 26 ft on deck and 31 ft LOA. Its dimensions are closer to the Osprey 26 than to the 24. Years later, Osprey began marketing their 24 as the Talon but it is not related to this boat except that they both were designed by Sims. She was built for offshore fishing in the Pacific Northwest but is ideal for operations in Florida's shallow estuarine and coastal waters. Small enough to trailer and maneuver around docks, she can take you 30 miles off shore with greater speed and safety than most cruisers. With engines down, she draws only 28" of water and can get into less than 20" with engines raised. Her fully-enclosed, insulated cabin, with heating and air conditioning, protects the crew and gear from the harsh Florida weather, both the intense summer heat and frequent thunderstorms, and not infrequent winter storms. The hull features full length fiberglass/Kevlar stringers with no structural wood and features a true walk around deck protected by high grade marine stainless steel railing. For comfort, the pilothouse has a full height waterproof door, definitely a much appreciated bonus for those used to stooping over every time they enter a cabin, with convertible dinette, galley w/ stainless steel sink, & AC/DC refrigerator. The large, open cockpit (10' x 7.5') with Bimini top, indeck fish boxes, under gunnel rod/boathook storage, and coaming pads. Stainless steel radar arch accommodates radar, antennas, and rod holders. The transom door and full Armstrong aluminum swim platform with ladder forward of the engines allows easy access for divers. Her fuel economy and speed allow her crew to reach offshore sites quickly, comfortably, and efficiently. Her double-chine hull allows her to jump onto a plane with minimum effort. The high bow, sharp entry, and deep-V hull slice through a steep chop with ease.
