Description

Mechanical Equipment

Why Knot runs on twin MerCruiser 350 MAG MPIs/Bravo 3 sterndrives, with approx. 450 hours, upgraded Hardin Marine Impellers/Seacock water intakes.

All recalls on the motors have been completed by Mercruiser for the Fuel Cool Gen Modules that many 350 MAG MPIs are plagued with - Fuel Lines, Fuel Injectors, fuel pumps, filters, etc. all replaced, upwards of $5-7K about 3 years ago.

The interior when she's not connected via SmartPlugs 2- 30 AMP shore power connections, runs on a Kohler 5E gas Generator with about 354 hours. This allows the AC/Heat, 2-burner galley, two refrigerators, water pump, showers, toilet, to all function as normal when moored out without shore power.

Oil samples can be provided from the motors which show barely any wear and top shape, along with the numerous receipts and upgrades

Galley Equipment

  • 2 Burner Glass Cooktop (Electric)
  • Microwave
  • Kitchen Sink
  • Norcold Refridgerator and Freezer

Accommodations

Up for sale is our beautiful "Why Knot". She has been an amazing vessel to us for the last 4-5 years!

She is well-taken care of with numerous upgrades, gel coat and mechanicals consistently maintained. She sleeps 4-6 well, with an enormous cockpit and a swiveling helm seat to feel like you are part of the party. A big, open cabin layout that is difficult to beat on a vessel this size! Her max beam size is 11 ft, 6in, 35ft LOA, and a 12,000lb displacement. Full camper enclosure with a recently upgraded Bimini, strata glass, and built-in screens with zippers.  A queen 6" memory/gel foam bed is available in the aft with a slew of headspace and of course the v-berth drops down to make a v-berth bed with provided cushions.

  • Anchor Washdown Pump and Locker
  • Upgraded 2nm LED Navigational Lights
  • Upgraded Trumpet horn
  • JL Audio Speakers
  • Alpine Type R Sub

The icing on the cake is that Why Knot has been stored in a radiant floor-heated barn for several years of her life when not on the Hudson River. We think you'll love her as much as have!
