A two stateroom, two head galley down layout. The master stateroom aft features a centerline queen berth, built-in night stands, a hanging locker, port and starboard storage lockers, five opening ports and an overhead hatch. The ensuite head has a vanity with sink, Raritan electric marine toilet, and shower. The guest stateroom forward features a double V-berth with storage under, a hanging locker, side storage shelves, storage lockers, a built-in seat, two opening ports and a large overhead ventilation hatch.
The guest/day head is located on the lower forward deck and has a vanity with sink, Raritan electric toilet, storage locker, mirror and an opening port.
The salon is quite spacious. Two RV style recliners that were recently recovered. A teak hi-lo table, built-in storage lockers, a lower helm and port and starboard doors to access the side decks.
The entire cabin is done in teak and cherry with parquet floors and is very, very clean. You will not be disappointed.
The Albin 40 Trawler is a sturdy cruising yacht with a traditional trawler-style profile, full teak interior, and comfortable cabin accommodations. It features a two-stateroom, galley-down interior with a queen bed aft and port and starboard deck access doors in the salon. Visibility from the lower helm is quite good. The flybridge seats six, and the full walkaround decks of the Albin 40 are a big plus when it comes to dockside line handling. While a single 135hp Lehman diesel was once standard, Merry Seas is equipped with twin 135hp Lehmans (10 knots cruise/13 knots top). Note that the props and rudders are well protected from grounding by the deep skeg. Moderately priced on the used markets and inexpensive to operate, the Albin 40 is a good choice for liveaboards of retired cruisers on a budget.
