With twin inboard drives (V-drives) that have electronic throttles, you only need one throttle for both RPM and forward and reverse.

Electronic Throttle allows you to sync your motors with a push of a button
Electronic throttle has a trolling button and docking button so you can’t punch the gas when parking
If you want to only use 1 lever for both engine, you just push the button and the levers will sync both engines.

V-Drive means your propeller in the water is just like one on a wake board boat, a straight shaft with a bronze propeller. Then a fin behind it for steering. This is because other engine types like outdrives, or pods have a lot of metal in the water and require a lot of maintenance. V-drives are very little maintenance which is low cost.
Because you have 2 engines, it is very easy to steer and reverse (Unlike a wakeboard boat). If you start veering towards the left, you simply throttle down the right engine to adjust your movement. Very easy to drive in the locks to Puget sound or docking.
By having 2 engines to allow you to put one engine in reverse and one engine in forward, you can spin the boat in 360-degree motion with ease. Then with the rear and bow thrusters, you can push the boat sideways like a carb walk. Easy to parallel park or get in and out of tough moorage.
