ACCOMMODATIONS:
Boarding is via the railing gates port or starboard or via the swim platform and up a transom step. Access to below decks is via sliding doors to the salon port or starboard and to the aft cabin via a companionway. The flying bridge is gained up steps aft and over the aft cabin.
The flying bridge has the upper helm station to starboard and seating for six.
The salon has an “L” shaped settee to starboard aft, and the lower helm station to starboard forward.
To port aft is an open galley with 3 burner LPG stove and oven, microwave oven, toaster oven, double stainless steel sinks, and DC refrigerator/freezer unit.
Below forward is a double “V” berth cabin with escape hatch over. To port is an enclosed head with manual toilet and sink.
Down aft from the salon is the master suite with large double berth aft and enclosed head to starboard forward having manual toilet, sink, and shower wand.
GENERAL:
This design was originally marketed as the CHB 34 and later imported by Universal Marine and Hampton Yachts. The vessels are toughly built, sensibly laid out, and nicely appointed, showing off the famous Taiwanese teak joinery. The modified Monk design nis reputed to handle rough weather well and be comfortable at rest or trolling speeds.

INSPECTION:
The deck and cabin structure were sounded from the exterior and the entire vessel was visually inspected inside and out. It should be noted that this inspection was made while the vessel was afloat. The vessel was inspected for compliance with U.S.C.G., N.F.P.A., and A.B.Y.C. standards (violations as listed in Category “B” below).
The engine was not operated during the course of this inspection.
CONDITION:
General condition was found above average for a vessel of this age.
The hull was found fully sound and in seaworthy condition. No structural discrepancies were noted.
Engines and gears were not operated during the course of this inspection as the vessel was found hauled. She was reported to have voyaged from her slip to the shipyard without incident. The engine compartment was found clean and neat.
