From an early age, the founder of JFA Yachts Frederick Gowen (Frédéric Jaouen) was fond of sailing, in 1987 he took part in the regatta Transat des Alizées, where he met with the owner of the shipyard Le Guen Hémidy Marine to Carentan. It was here that he first engaged in the shipbuilding and met his future partner Frederick Broglie (Frédéric Breuilly).
When the shipyard in Normandy closed, they decided to create their own enterprise, and in 1993 was born the JFA Yachts. The shipyard is located in Concarneau on the Bank Bay of Biscay, a place with a rich Maritime heritage.
Production infrastructure JFA Yachts stands out for its high technology and efficiency. There are five construction sheds, which can take a motor or sailing yachts up to 50 metres. Room adapted for catamarans, which is able to accommodate mnogoyarusnyi width up to 17 meters.
Also, the company has its own synchrolift for lifting vessels up to 95 meters, width up to 17 meters and weighing up to 2000 tons. Additionally, in the technical area is a 400-ton lift. To the dock yard can fit boats with draught up to 6 meters.

Gradually, the shipyard has expanded its portfolio of motor yachts for long journeys and sailing catamarans from aluminum, fiberglass and carbon fiber. Today the company offers clients custom and polyketone boats with a length from 22 to 65 meters.
the largest of the already built yachts shipyard was launched in 2011 41-meter>Axantha II. Its development was attended by the famous Dutch design Studio >Vripack. This is the second superyacht that the owner ordered JFA Yachts.
