company History

British Pearl Yachts was founded in 1998 by Ian Smallridge (Iain Smallridge) and John Yarnold (John Yarnold). A new shipyard was officially launched in the same year, during the Southampton Boat Show with the premiere of two models — 41 and Pearl Pearl 45. Thanks to these projects, a new shipyard has received the attention of the public, potential clients and the press, and took his place in the yacht industry.

In 2002, the business was joined by private investor Anthony Whittaker, an experienced yacht owner. According to some, currently, Whittaker owns more than 75% of the capital at Pearl Yachts. Ian Smallridge is the Executive Director of the company. Whittaker ordered the shipyard's first project, which was designed by the famous naval architect and bill Dixon. Entered the market in 2004, the premiere of the Pearl 55 was a great success. Two years later, in 2006, the shipyard has offered customers two more yachts in this range, the Pearl 60 and Pearl 50.

By 2012, the company has built more than 50 yachts and found its niche in the yacht market. Then there were the first the company's flagship Pearl 75, which was also designed by bill Dixon and interior designer Kelly Hoppen made an MBE.

Optional list also offers several options for motors, yachts, Pearl may show a maximum speed of 35 knots, cruise up to 25 knots. Yachts are equipped as engines, drive shafts and propulsion systems such as the Volvo IPS with pulling screws.



the headquarters of the Pearl Yachts is Warwick, UK, the production base is located in the British Gosport and China in the city Xiamen, on the southeastern coast of the country. The dealer network includes representatives in Europe and the United States.



In 2018, the company announced a special guarantee program for 5 years for all new Pearl yachts, delivered to customers starting from 1 January 2018.
