In 1970, a famous Taiwanese architect Dagong Wang (Da-Hong Wang) was contracted by the government of his country to create a monument of the successful landing of Apollo 11 on the moon. The monument was decided to give the name of the Greek goddess of the moon — Selena. But the memorial was not built and remained only on paper. Later one of the students Wang — Howard Chan, decided to use the idea and give it the name of the new line of yachts.
