the Dutch shipyard Sturier (Stories) boasts a long history. In 1795, the family van der Werf, began the construction of boats near the city of Drachten. The modern history of the company began in 1918. One of the brothers bought in the seaside Stavoren an old shipyard and started to build steel vessels. Until 1957 Sturier dealt only with the commercial fleet, but to assess the potential recreational market, she released a steel yacht Stavokruiser, aimed at the needs of private buyers. Now the company is led by a representative of the third generation of owners — Auke van der Werf (Auke van der Werff).
