Montague Harbour Marine Park

Communing with nature is the primary activity at Montague Harbour Marine Park. Tide pooling is excellent here and the salt marsh enviornment in the lagoon attracts a wide variety of wildlife. Be sure to walk the white sand of Shell Beach. An ancient shell midden created by First Nation people who harvested shellfish here for 3,000 years has been broken up,ground to fine particles and deposited on the beach.
