Pope’s Island Marina

The HDC operates the 198-slip public marina at Pope’s Island, which is located within the Hurricane Barrier in the upper harbor east of the New Bedford/Fairhaven Bridge. Pope’s Island Marina opened in 1993 along the south side of the island with financial assistance from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The marina is one of the finest public facilities on the East Coast. Support services include on-site laundry facilities, pump out facilities, shower rooms, and conference room, with dockside water and electricity available.
