Puerto Marina El Rompido

Puerto Marina El Rompido is protected from the harsh waves of the Atlantic by a huge peninsular fringed with unspoilt beaches and covered in sand dunes. As the port is located in the river estuary tides must be contended with, and this limits the draft of boat that can be moored. However, once in you are rewarded with the beauty of the landscape and the sense of well-being that comes from immersion in nature.  Staff, with the use of a tugboat, are on hand to assist guests with mooring free of charge.  In the vicinity of El Rompido there are 2 golf courses, hotels, restaurants, and the traditional town centre adjacent to the marina.  Thanks to its protected situation El Rompido makes an excellent stopover and a pleasant place to stay on the way to the Algarve or before heading down to the Strait of Gibraltar.
