Successful implementation of the project the Farr 52 One Design, well proven in racing almost all of the handicap systems (IMS, IRC, PHRF IRM), led to the development of the draft Farr 520 — cruising and racing yachts based on the same hull as its predecessor. Refinement were only sailing rig, steering device, layout of deck and cockpit and below deck, midship, received a sophisticated interior, created in the Bureau of Design Unlimited.
