This sailing vessel underwent an extensive $150,000 refit in 2019-2020 to ready it for an around the world sailing adventure. Shonto sailed over 4,500 ocean miles up and down the east coast, and two seasons in the Bahamas. Much of the journey was documented on YouTube's "Take The Waters."

Shonto is fast, comfortable, safe, fun to sail, and can easily be sailed by a couple, or even single handed as all lines lead to the cockpit.

Safety and dependability are paramount; thus every system is continuously inspected and maintained according to a schedule with detailed maintenance & repair logs being kept. Preventative maintenance has been extremely important, and if there was ever a questionable system or component, it was immediately fixed or replaced. In the two years of sailing, we have never had a major system failure or cause for concern due to our preventive maintenance and regular inspections.
