The inception of the Corporation is considered to be Suzuki in 1909, when in Hamamatsu Japanese entrepreneur Michio Suzuki founded a small factory manufacturing enterprise looms. 11 years later, it received the status of joint stock companies, as well as the name Suzuki (named after its founder). The production of machine tools has successfully developed and grew; Suzuki even received a government award for producing models, leading by its characteristics of English and Dutch machines. Noting its 80th anniversary, the company changed the President (it was Masao Toda), founded the Foundation for education and culture, has launched a new model — Wagon R Solio Escudo and Grand. And in 2001, the American market came a new model — 7 seater SUV XL-7, the big Suzuki. The company abandoned the use of lead in the painting of cars and motorcycles. A hundred years from a small group of talented engineers working on the looms, Suzuki has grown into a worldwide company numbering almost 15 million people, produces and implements its products in more than 190 countries. Worldwide annually Suzuki sells more than 1.6 million vehicles and as many motorcycles. Today the main activity of the company are compact and economy cars. Plus motorcycles, outboard motors, power products, and even commodities such as wheelchairs with the electric drive.
