Introduced in the mid 2000-ies of the HR 342 very quickly became a bestseller — many customers were attracted by good performance yachts, excellent handling, comfortable interior and relatively low (for Hallberg-Rassy, of course!) price. Mass action was taken by the designer to improve the stability of the yacht and reducing the longitudinal moment of inertia to reduce the magnitude of pitching. Special attention of the designer, widely known for its superyacht, as well as work on Nautor Swan, was paid to the interior and comfort. The interior is a classic-looking, but quite bright. Its internal volume is quite suitable for long voyages.
