Model HR 48 was established the basis of a popular model HR 46 according to the known formula, "let's just improve a good thing." Despite the well — known rule of "better is the enemy of the good" from the Swedes once again it turned out — so much so that the boat received two honorary title of Yacht of the year versions of the various publications in 2006 and 2007 (though, to gather a bouquet of awards — a usual thing for yachts Hallberg-Rassy). The building was greatly extended in the KVL, which has significantly improved the driving performance of the boat, increased area of Windows and skylights in the salon, has become noticeably more spacious inside — new design techniques enabled rational to frame the interior. The engine became much more economical, both receiving much more capacious fuel tank — now the boat can go under the engine from Hamburg to Iceland on one tank.
