Malta

Malta is a small country located on the islands of the Maltese archipelago (the largest of which are Malta and Gozo). There are no natural lakes and rivers on the islands.

Due to its favorable strategic position of Malta directly in the center of the Mediterranean, this island has historically been one of the most important points in the world of maritime navigation.
