Moscow river Imperial yacht club - a unique site (cultural heritage site) for sailors of 0.5 hectares with a fenced area, located in the very center of the capital, on a cape at the junction of the Moscow River and the Vodootvodny Canal. The history of the club dates back to 1867, when the draft charter of the institution was submitted to the Emperor for approval. Initially, a floating marina functioned; later, 2 buildings were additionally rented for holding club meetings. The construction of the stone building of the club began in 1929, the club also had an excellent restaurant, so boaters came here to have a hearty lunch, admiring the beautiful view of the water. The marina is located on the territory of the Red October Factory, right under the monument to Peter I and is designed for 25 seats for ships up to 45 meters long.
At this time, the building of the Moscow river Imperial yacht club has been restored, is privately owned and leased for the organization of celebrations. The Moscow river Imperial yacht club is designed to become a center for the development of sailing and motor yachting, paying tribute to the traditions established in the 19th century.
