In the Tyrrhenian Sea, the most popular marinas are the following:

• Marina Viareggio. One of the most fashionable places in the north of Italy. Since the 19th century, the wealthiest Florentine residents preferred to rest here. Now the city has become not only a large tourist center but also an important shipbuilding hub.
• Punta Ala. The resort in Tuscany has excellent facilities. Punta Ala serves as a stopover for yachtsmen sailing to Elba, Corsica, or Capraia.
• Livorno. The port and industrial center of Tuscany attracts yachtsmen with a large number of anchorages and a good location.
